Patrons in the U.S.A.

When not traveling internationally to Rome, many of our Patrons enjoy a summer vacation in New England.
This summer, Fr. Kevin Lixey had the pleasure to meet with several members of our Director’s Circle – all from various Patrons Chapters – as he passed through places in Massachusetts & Rhode Island during his annual summer visit to the US.

A classic New England summer experience was capstoned when a few Cardinal’s Circle Patrons happened to meet up in Newport, RI. Our Director of Development for North America, Jill Alexy, was able to join this small party for a few days to help connect everyone.

Patrons Joe Popolo and John and Virginia Gildea joined Fr Kevin for an exclusive tour of the Breakers in Newport, RI - where they learned about tapestry restoration projects not dissimilar to ours inside the Vatican!
The Breakers is the grandest of Newport's summer "cottages" and a symbol of the Vanderbilt family in turn-of-the-century America.

Thus, over some days in July, rather spontaneous get-togethers featured personal & private tours with the Newport Preservation Society & Salve Regina University, croquet on centre court at the International Tennis Hall of Fame, and fabulous dinners with friends.

After such a wonderful experience, we look forward to working with new partners like Salve Regina and others to organize a series of really unique events in Newport, RI over the course of the last week of July 2022.

And before the details are announced in early Winter, perhaps you would like to consider learning more about our Director’s & Cardinal’s giving circles?
