News from the Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums

Dear Friends,

September Greetings from our PAVM Vatican Office where are team is all back to work after the summer holidays.

In spite of Covid, I was still able to spend some time with my family In Michigan as well as spend time with some Patrons in Cape Cod, Nantucket, Michigan and Illinois. I’m always amazed by the hospitality and generosity of our patrons who warmly welcomed me. I wish I had the opportunity to see more of you this summer. However, the pandemic makes it difficult to travel as you can imagine. Nevertheless I was even able to attend a unique event in person sponsored by the Michigan Patrons.

Fr Kevin Lixey with John and Virginia Gildea in Cape Cod

First Patrons event after Covid pandemic restrictions hosted by John and Kristan Hale from the Michigan Chapter.

Upon return, our Patrons staff is working diligently on putting the finishing touches on the PAVM Insiders Course. I’m very excited by this 8 semester cycle of master classes. Each monthly module will feature on a Vatican curator and offer a special video, live Q&A and a supplementary lecture. We believe it will be a great opportunity to share the beauty and history of the Vatican Museums with you all. It’s unfortunate that many of you will not be able to visit us here in Rome therefore the PAVM Insiders Course will bring the Vatican Museums to you.

We are also pleased to present this video we made of the finishing of the Holy Stairs Frescoes which was finished without much ado back in early June.
We hope to host an inauguration ceremony of them the spring of 2021. Many thanks to our generous patrons who made the newly restored beauty of these frescoes a reality.

Know that you are all in my prayers during this time.

God bless,
Fr Kevin Lixey, L. C.
